If you have knowledge, let others light their candles with it.

hey guys!
if anyone's listening out there, i'm talking to you.

so i was out at lunch with a couple of my closest friends, and the subject turned to the economy, unemployment rate, and...the word that evokes excitement and dizziness, COLLEGE.
in time magazine a while back, the cover story was Where are the Jobs at? it was about uneployment rate, how it's changes, and what jobs are available and where to find them. We talked what it really meant to go into the real world, which makes all of us shiver in our shoes and almost pass out with excitement, as does college. What jobs really are here to stay in America, and which ones have permanently shipped overseas? And the bigger question, which one am I going to pursue?
ABout 50 years ago, living America, you could go be a high school drop out and go to work in a factory, or practically any job for that matter. You would earn a wage that would suffice you and your family, keep the job for your whole life, and retire happily.
Nowadays, it's a bit harder. The smart kid's path goes as follows. GRaduates high school with As, some kind of musical talent and practice, one (maybe two) foreign languages under his or her belt, voulenteer work, art, drama, leadership classes or groups completed, and a whole lot of heart. But that still isn't enough. This kid is going to have to work his ass off if our hypothetical smart kid wants to get anywhere. He/She needs a name...Tyler. (It's unisex) Tyler will. Tyler is going to work harder than he's ever had in his life, and more. Tyler will step on people's feet, scratching and clawing until he gets to the top. That's the way this world had evolved.
There's just one slight problem with that. Tyler is one of the very few kids in America who actually is going to do that. The rest are going to have a 30's throwback and not try, letting Chinese students who have been trained since day one to work 110% all day everday get the job. Bummer.
don't worry...me and tyler, we're tight. i'll work hard, i promise you that much.
For a couple of years I have been interestd in going into the medical feild. It is obviously essential to every society, making it a reliable, helpful, and a job that is found anywhere. I have voulenteered at the hospital for a couple summers, recieved multiple scholarships and had long discussions with doctors of different fields. I am prepping myself adequatly, i would say.
cripes i gotta go i will continue this later....BYE(:

I believe everyone should have a hunger for knowledge, as that is when leaders, doctors, scientists, teachers and all the wonderful people that run our world are educated. So, i'll share mine with you.

This is going to be a wonderful experience.
